The multiplier column describes one mutation in isolation. It should not be read as a list of numbers to multiply together. In the original Grow a Garden economy, one growth variant anchors the calculation while compatible environmental mutations are added inside a bracket: growth × [1 + (sum of environmental multipliers − count)]. The crop's base value and squared weight contribution are applied separately.
Growth, weather, pet, and event labels
Growth mutations compete for the same variant slot, so the strongest selected growth value is used. The other categories describe how a mutation is normally obtained, not a guarantee that every pair can coexist. Weather can transform or replace an existing state, and some temperature or moisture combinations are mutually exclusive.
Why a larger number is not always the next target
A rare event mutation with a high multiplier may be unavailable during an ordinary session. A smaller weather or pet-assisted mutation that can be triggered repeatedly may generate more total Sheckles over time. Choose a target by availability, crop cost, grow time, and the value already at risk—not multiplier alone.
Check a stack before harvesting
- Confirm the game version; GAG2 follows different rules.
- Select no more than one growth variant.
- Remove incompatible moisture, cold, or heat states.
- Test the remaining set in the mutation calculator.
- Verify every icon on the crop before using the result in a trade.
