Frozen Mutation

Blizzards turn your plot into a freezer aisle where patience pays in stacked environmental value. Frozen is the reliable cold anchor — lower multiplier than headline event tags, but essential bracket padding when frost windows are long and predictable.

How to trigger

Frozen procs during Snowstorm and Blizzard weather when crops remain exposed through sustained cold. Plant before the blizzard front arrives so mature crops sit in the freeze window at harvest. Penguin pets and cold-weather loadouts improve proc consistency on large fields.

Stacking rules

Frozen is environmental at 10×. It conflicts with Wet and Chilled — you cannot combine Frozen with standard rain saturation tags. Ember, Solar, and Burnt heat paths also conflict with Frozen in the thermal matrix. Frozen stacks freely with Frostbite and Subzero when patch rules allow multiple cold-tier tags without Wet intermediary.

Frozen value impact

Frozen as bracket foundation

Frozen alone yields envBracket = 1 + (10 − 1) = 9. Pair with Frostbite (11×) for sum 21 minus two plus one = envBracket 20 — doubling your cold bracket without touching growth slot. On a 2 kg crop with Golden (20× growth), Frozen + Frostbite pushes env contribution far beyond either tag solo.

Winter farming loops: rotate fast-grow cold bait crops to test proc rates, then commit high base-value seeds once blizzard duration exceeds your grow timer. Sell Frozen stacks early in winter events before supply floods Discord listings.

Common questions

Why did my crop lose Wet when Frozen applied?
Frozen and Wet conflict in the mutation matrix. Cold extreme overwrites rain saturation — you keep the thermal path, not both.
Is Frozen worth chasing alone?
Single Frozen tags modestly move value, but as part of multi-cold stacks or paired with high growth tiers on heavy crops, Frozen remains a staple for predictable winter sessions.
