Mutations transform ordinary harvests into trade headlines. Grow a Garden separates mutations into growth categories that replace each other and environmental categories that stack inside a bracket formula. Our mutation calculator lets you toggle any combination supported by current patch data — from common Shiny at 5× through Shocked at 125× — and see the effective multiplier on your chosen crop and weight.
Misunderstanding stacking rules costs players millions of Sheckles. Assuming Golden and Rainbow combine, for example, leads to overpriced trades and disappointed harvests. Only the strongest growth mutation applies. Environmental mutations, meanwhile, reward deliberate weather chasing: each additional env tag adds its full multiplier into the sum before the bracket adjustment, so triple-env crops during admin weather can break calculators if you forget the minus-count term.
Growth mutation tier list (value focus)
- Rainbow (50×) — end-game growth target for main plots.
- Golden (20×) — reliable mid-game stepping stone.
- Silver / Shiny (5×) — common early boosts.
- Mega (3×) — niche; often paired with Huge pets.
Environmental tiers shift with events. Shocked, Stormcharged, Dawnbound, and Celestial headline patch notes whenever thunderstorms or meteor showers return. The June 2026 Shroomie update added Overgrown and Toxic for mushroom event farming — see our changelog and mutations guide for trigger details.
Farming workflow
- Check weather events for upcoming windows.
- Assign mutation pets to matching plots.
- Pre-load crop base value and expected harvest weight.
- Toggle mutations in this tool as procs appear in-game.
- Confirm final Sheckles in the crop value calculator before selling.
Each mutation has a dedicated reference page — browse Shocked, Rainbow, or Celestial for descriptions, categories, and stack rules. Pair this tool with the crop value calculator when you need friend boost or precise weight entry included in the total.
Env bracket formula (what this calculator implements)
Environmental tags use envBracket = 1 + (sum of env multipliers − count of env tags). Growth stays a single exclusive factor (max of selected growth ids). Final crop value scales as base × weight² × growth × envBracket × (1 + friend boost when entered). Traders who multiply Shocked × Celestial × Wet as a product will disagree with this page — and with the live sell prompt — every time.
Conflict pairs (Wet vs Frozen/Chilled, Ember vs cold tags, growth exclusivity) still apply: illegal combinations should be cleared before you trust a headline total. For the long list of multipliers and weather triggers, use the grow a garden mutations guide; this calculator owns the interactive stack math.
