Base value is a comparison starting point, not a guaranteed harvest price. The final sale amount depends heavily on measured weight, then on the active growth variant, compatible environmental mutations, friend boost, and quantity. Because weight is squared, a heavier specimen can outperform a rarer crop with a higher listed base value.
Use base value for like-for-like comparisons
Compare two crops at the same weight and with the same mutation setup when deciding where to spend fertilizer, weather time, or pet support. For example, doubling weight produces four times the weight contribution before mutations; tripling it produces nine times the contribution. Comparing an unmutated 1 kg crop with a heavy Rainbow crop does not reveal which seed has the stronger baseline.
Category and event labels answer different questions
Category helps identify plants that may share quest, pet, or equipment interactions. Event identifies limited release context; it does not automatically make a crop more profitable. Availability may influence player demand, but the calculator uses the stored game value rather than speculative collector pricing.
From database row to sell estimate
- Open the crop detail to confirm the correct plant.
- Measure the harvested weight instead of guessing from size.
- Choose only the mutations actually shown on that crop.
- Run the inputs through the crop value calculator.
- Multiply by quantity only when the items share the same inputs.
