Frostbite Mutation Grow a Garden

Frostbite is Blizzard’s deep-scar cold tag at 11× — heavier than Frozen’s 10×, and blocked from sharing a crop with Frozen despite sitting on the same weather row.

How to trigger

mutations.ts: deep frost damage pattern from blizzard weather; weather category, multiplier 11, stackable true. weather.ts Blizzard lists Frozen, Frostbite, and Chilled as bonuses. Keep crops mature through the 5-minute window; do not invent arctic-front calendars beyond that row.

Stacking rules

Frostbite is weather/environmental. Solo: envBracket = 1 + (11 − 1) = 11. mutation-conflicts.ts pairs Frostbite with Frozen and with Ember — those pairs cannot share a harvest. Frostbite has no listed pair against Chilled or Wet, so light frost or rain padding can join the env sum when those tags actually land. Growth stays a separate exclusive slot (Golden/Rainbow/etc.). Never treat Blizzard’s three bonus names as a guaranteed triple stack.

Frostbite value by weight

Frostbite applies a 11× multiplier in the weather bracket. The table below shows the value it adds to a reference crop (base 50) across common harvest weights, so you can gauge how much this tag is worth before chasing it.

Why Blizzard lists three cold tags you cannot all keep

Blizzard can roll Frozen, Frostbite, or Chilled, but Frozen conflicts with both Frostbite and Chilled. A harvest that already shows Frozen will refuse Frostbite in the calculator. Prefer Frostbite when you want the 11× deep-scar identity; prefer Frozen when the ice solid tag is already locked and you will not chase Frostbite.

Frostbite + Chilled is legal: sum 15, count 2, envBracket = 1 + (15 − 2) = 14. That is additive bracket padding, not 11 × 4. Subzero (34×) has no Frostbite conflict row — if both appear, sum 45, count 2, envBracket = 44, still without multiplying the tags.

Ember heat versus deep frost planning

Ember (25×) conflicts with Frostbite. Heat-wave Ember plans and Blizzard Frostbite plans are mutually exclusive on the same plant — swap plots rather than hoping thermal tags merge. Wet does not conflict with Frostbite directly, but Wet still conflicts with Frozen and Chilled, so moisture strategy depends on which cold tags you keep.

On a 2 kg crop with Golden (20× growth) and solo Frostbite, weight² = 4 multiplies base, then growth, then envBracket 11. Buyers want the Frostbite icon plus Blizzard context; screenshots under Clear Skies invite discounts even when the math is correct.

Common questions

Can Frostbite and Frozen stack on one crop?
No. The conflict map forbids Frozen alongside Frostbite. Pick one extreme-cold environmental id at selection time—they never share a crop.
Does Frostbite conflict with Chilled?
No dedicated pair. Frostbite and Chilled can share the env bracket; Frozen is the tag that blocks Chilled.
