mutations.ts ties Amber to fossilized amber resin from prehistoric dig events. It is event-category at 56× with stackable true. weather.ts has no Amber entry; use published dig/event banners only—no invented dig calendars or resin-radius percentages.
Amber Mutation Grow a Garden
Amber traps the harvest in fossil resin optics—56× event weight that dig-week traders treat as a mid-high environmental pillar, not a growth skin.
How to trigger
Stacking rules
Amber joins the environmental list in cropValue. Compute growth × [1 + (Σ multipliers − n)]. Amber alone → 1 + (56 − 1) = 56. Amber + Ancient (65×) → sum 121, n = 2 → 120—not 56 × 65. Amber + Amber Glow (64×) → sum 120, n = 2 → 119. Keep a single growth winner. Amber has no CONFLICT_PAIRS row.

Amber value by weight
Amber applies a 56× multiplier in the event bracket. The table below shows the value it adds to a reference crop (base 50) across common harvest weights, so you can gauge how much this tag is worth before chasing it.
| Weight | Base crop value | With Amber (56×) | Value added |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 kg | 50 | 2.8K | +2.75K |
| 2 kg | 200 | 11.2K | +11K |
| 5 kg | 1.25K | 70K | +68.8K |
| 10 kg | 5K | 28K | +275K |
Amber value impact
Resin weight without multiplying fossils
Collectors often multiply Amber against Ancient or Petrified because the visuals match. The bracket subtracts one per environmental icon, so each tag contributes (multiplier − 1). Amber with Petrified (48×) yields sum 104, count 2, bracket 103 before any growth factor.
Rainbow or Golden can sit beside Amber because Amber never occupies the growth slot. Finish high-base crops while dig event flags are live, then confirm every fossil icon on the harvest UI before listing.
Amber Glow as a sibling id, not an upgrade
Amber Glow is a separate 64× event id. When both resin and glow appear, both enter the env sum. Nothing in mutation-conflicts.ts forbids the pair; growth exclusivity still blocks a second growth tag.
Temporal Storm lists Ancient and Void, not Amber—do not invent weather overlap. If Ancient lands from archaeology timing while Amber is already present, add both multipliers and subtract the combined count once.
Common questions
- Is Amber a growth mutation?
- No. It is event-category at 56× and stackable. Rainbow (or another growth winner) multiplies after the resin env factor is computed—Amber never fills that exclusive growth lane.
- Can Amber and Amber Glow appear together?
- Yes. They are separate environmental ids. Both contribute to 1 + (sum − count) when both icons show; they do not multiply each other.
