Grow a Garden Phoenix

Phoenix is recovery with a heat signature: Rebirth revives wilted crops and applies ember mutation on that revival path, turning a lost plant into a still-sellable ember-tagged harvest when the ability connects.

Quick stats

Phoenix weight progression

Phoenix hatches at 1.8 kg and grows with the formula W = (hatch ÷ 11) × (age + 10). The table below projects its weight at each age milestone so you can plan trade timing and weight targets.

Phoenix weight by age
AgeProjected weight
Age 11.80 kg
Age 255.73 kg
Age 509.82 kg
Age 7513.91 kg
Age 10018.00 kg
Age 12522.09 kg

Playstyle

Keep Phoenix on high-value rows that risk wilt from drought, missed watering, or long AFK gaps. It is insurance first and an ember applicator second—do not expect it to replace dedicated heat mutation pets such as Cicada or Fire Wisp for continuous solar/ember farming. Legendary rarity and editorial A describe hatch prestige and site ranking; neither equals divine Rainbow Phoenix prismatic coverage.

Weight & trading

Hatch 1.8 kg (legendary, Big). Project with the site formula: age 25 ≈ 5.73 kg, age 50 ≈ 9.82 kg, age 75 ≈ 13.91 kg, and age 100 = (1.8 ÷ 11) × 110 = 18 kg. Moderate legendary hatch—lighter than Griffin or Pegasus, heavier than feather-light mutation legendaries—so weight screenshots matter less than proven revival usefulness.

Rebirth revives wilted crops with ember mutation. Ember is catalogued at ×25 as a weather-category tag when present. Cooldown length, range, which wilt states qualify, and whether other destruction modes count as wilt are not enumerated in pets.ts—verify against the live ability panel before relying on Rebirth for irreplaceable event crops.

Phoenix in Grow a Garden

Wilt insurance versus ember farming

If your garden almost never wilts, Phoenix under-uses its unique revival clause and becomes a soft ember pet. Heat-focused farmers may prefer Cicada Summer Song or Fire Wisp Inferno for continuous ember/burnt pressure instead.

If wilt is common on long timers, one successful revival can outweigh a session of ordinary mutation pets. Match the pet to failure rate, not to legendary aesthetics.

Standard Phoenix and Rainbow Phoenix

Rainbow Phoenix is a separate divine pet with Prismatic Flames aimed at rainbow and ember combo boost. It is not an automatic upgrade path that inherits every Rebirth rule—confirm current tooltip text if you own both.

Editorial A on Phoenix is an ability-rank label. Divine rarity and S-tier editorial ranks on Rainbow Phoenix sit on other axes; do not equate them when comparing screenshots or offers.

Common questions

Does Rebirth restore crops destroyed by pests or plot clears?
The ability text specifies wilted crops. Other removal or destroy states may not qualify. Check the in-game description for your crop’s failure state before assuming a full safety net.
Is ember from Rebirth the same as Fire Wisp Inferno stacking?
Both touch the ember theme, but Inferno is described as ember and burnt stacking boost, while Rebirth applies ember through revival. They can complement on heat plots; they are not identical kits.
