Cracked is environmental. Solo: envBracket = 1 + (10 − 1) = 10. No CONFLICT_PAIRS entry for Cracked. Sandy (3×), Sundried (21×), and Ember (25×) can share the env sum when present. Growth stays exclusive. Older guides that claim Wet automatically deletes Cracked are inventing mechanics — only harvest icons and the conflict map are authoritative.

Cracked applies a 10× multiplier in the weather bracket. The table below shows the value it adds to a reference crop (base 50) across common harvest weights, so you can gauge how much this tag is worth before chasing it.

Cracked + Sandy + Sundried: sum 34, count 3, envBracket = 1 + (34 − 3) = 32. Cracked + Ember: sum 35, count 2, envBracket = 34. On a 1.8 kg base-15,000 Golden crop with Cracked alone: weight² = 3.24; 15,000 × 3.24 = 48,600; × 20 = 972,000; × 10 = 9,720,000 Sheckles before friend boost. Drought weeks are predictable income between storm RNG, not a path to Shocked-tier brackets.
Ember — not Cracked — conflicts with Frozen, Chilled, and Frostbite. Plan cold swaps around Ember if heat tags are already selected. Cracked itself does not inherit Ember’s thermal block list.
When 10× dry is still worth listing
List cracked drought harvests while dry weather is still live and the fracture icon is visible. Pair with Sundried when multi-day heat actually lands both tags. Skip chasing a third weak dry icon if kilograms are still climbing — weight² often beats another +2 net env point.
If rain arrives and Wet appears beside Cracked, report both icons; do not assume the calculator will refuse the pair. Sell early if clear skies end the dry flag and no higher env partner is coming.

- Does Wet conflict with Cracked?
- No pair exists in mutation-conflicts.ts. If both icons appear, both enter the environmental sum. Irrigation may change which flags proc next — that is weather timing, not a coded Cracked wipe.
- Cracked versus Sandy — which should I keep?
- They stack. Sandy is 3× dust; Cracked is 10× fracture. Keeping both raises envBracket; there is no exclusive dry group forcing a choice.
